Imidazol-1-ylacetonitrile (CAS 98873-55-3) is an intermediate of luliconazole. Luliconazole is an imidazole antifungal drug developed by Japan Pesticide Corporation. The drug was finally approved in June 2005. It has been marketed under the trade name Lulicon since July 20, 2005. The cream and lotion specifications are both 1% and are used for the following fungal infections: ringworm-athlete's foot, ringworm, Tinea cruris; Candida infection-interphalangeal erosion, abrasion; Vitiligo. |
