Viwit President Dr. Keene Wei Invited as Keynote Speaker at the “Tianfu Distinguished Lecture Series,” Appointed Industry Mentor and Delivers Special Presentation

Innovation defines our era, and talent shapes the future. On June 10, 2026, the “Tianfu Distinguished Lecture Series,” hosted by Tianjin University Fuzhou International Joint College, was successfully held. Dr. Keene Wei, Chairman and President of Viwit, was invited to serve as the keynote speaker and was formally appointed an industry mentor at the event.
At the appointment ceremony, Professor Huang Hui, Assistant President of Tianjin University, Director of the University’s Party and Administrative Offices, and Dean of the Fuzhou College, introduced the event. Chen Hangxing, Director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Fuzhou New Area Administrative Committee, presented Dr. Wei with his industry mentor appointment certificate. In his remarks, Dr. Wei said he was honored to take on the role and would bring frontline R&D experience, innovative approaches to technical problem-solving, and real-world examples of industrial translation into talent development. He encouraged Tianjin University students to broaden their perspectives at the forefront of industry, strengthen their capabilities through hands-on practice, respond to the needs of the times, and grow into young professionals with a strong sense of responsibility, an innovative mindset, practical expertise, and the ability to take on important challenges.
During the expert presentation session, Dr. Wei delivered a special lecture titled “Innovation in Biopharmaceutical Science and Technology.” Drawing on three perspectives—the overall industry landscape, the global frontier of scientific and technological innovation, and Viwit’s own development experience—he provided a systematic analysis of the biopharmaceutical sector. By connecting industry theory with Viwit’s practical experience, the presentation highlighted the strategic importance of biopharmaceuticals as an emerging pillar industry. Dr. Wei noted that continued scientific and technological advances in biopharmaceuticals are helping address growing healthcare needs and are creating sustained opportunities for long-term industry development.
